standard sacrificial anodes
A trusted range for commercial vessels, fishing fleets and marine structures.
Our standard range suits most common applications across commercial vessels, workboats, fishing fleets and marine structures. Each anode is manufactured in New Zealand using carefully controlled casting processes to ensure consistent quality and performance.
Specifications, including dimensions, weights and fixing arrangements, are provided below to assist with product selection.
Holes can be punched or drilled into the cores of the Weld On products to allow them to be bolted on. All dimensions are in millimetres. Weights are nominal and may vary slightly due to the casting process. You can download the anode list here.
If you’re unsure which anode is right for you, we can help. If you require an anode not listed within the standard range, MPS can also manufacture custom or replacement anodes to suit existing systems or specific project requirements.
quality assured
All MPS anodes are cast from high-purity virgin metal with alloying elements to ensure reliable and predictable cathodic protection. Our anodes are manufactured to meet recognised industry specifications, providing consistent electrochemical performance in marine environments.
Zinc AnodesMPS zinc anodes are manufactured to meet the following performance specifications:• United States Military Specification 18001K• Potential: −1.05 V when measured using a Silver/Silver Chloride reference electrode• Current capacity: 780 amp hours/kg
Aluminium AnodesMPS aluminium anodes are manufactured to meet the following performance specifications:• Australian Standard AS 2239/2003 A1• Potential: −1.10 V when measured using a Silver/Silver Chloride reference electrode• Current capacity: 2700 amp hours/kg
